Find your role to make an impact

We all have strengths and weaknesses. The first step is to realize what these are. The second step is to take on jobs that allow us to use our strengths. The third is to develop our weaknesses.
When it comes to making an impact (on myself, friends, the world), I know that my strength is coming up with great ideas. However, I also know that my weakness is following through on those ideas. How can I make this work for me? This blog, for instance, allows me to share my thoughts and ideas. Another way is to develop an idea and then pass it off to someone who’s strength is in planning and carrying them out. In the meantime, I work on developing better habits in following through my existing responsibilities.
So, how does this apply to you? Are you good at doing the busy work? Are you good at taking a vision and making it happen?
What are your weaknesses?
The first step is knowing. Really take some time to think these strengths and weaknesses through. Don’t try to make yourself feel better about what they are. You’d just be cheating yourself.
Having this knowledge is invaluable – knowing yourself allows you to reach your full potential by maximizing your capabilities. The coolest part is that you’re allowing yourself to feel good about what you can accomplish. You won’t be trying to force yourself into a box that you don’t fit into.
